Join us at our Indigenous market and showcase!
About the Event
The Strathcona County Museum & Archives is proud to host our Indigenous Artist Market and Showcase on Saturday, September 20. This event is held to honour the renaming of our Indigenous Peoples Gallery, a change made in ceremony with local Indigenous Elders to give the space a name that better reflects the stories, traditions, and cultures it honours.
The gallery’s new name, Touches the Earth, Echoing Sky Lodge, is a reflection of the connection between land, sky, and spirit that is central to the works shown in this space.
We hope to uplift and celebrate the talents of local Indigenous artists, makers, and knowledge keepers by offering a space for sharing and connection. Visitors are invited to explore, engage, and enjoy Indigenous artistry and storytelling.
