Join us every Saturday for hands on activities inspired by local history, exhibits, collections, and seasonal themes. Activities change throughout the year and may pause or shift when a special event is taking place.

Get creative and make something uniquely yours! Create your own collage using vintage magazines, newspapers, ephemera, and more. Join us once a month for a relaxed evening of creativity and conversation. All ages welcome! Free admission by donation.

NEW Archaeology Speaker Series
Join us for an evening of archaeology and history. This free 1.5-hour speaker series, presented in partnership with the Archaeological Society of Alberta (ASA), features a different guest speaker each month exploring a variety of archaeological topics.
Tea and coffee will be served.

Trivia Nights
Gather your team and put your knowledge to the test! Join us for a new trivia theme each month, with questions ranging from history and pop culture to fun facts and everything in between. Held on the last Thursday of every month, Trivia Night is 18+ and includes a prize generously donated by Brown’s Social House.

Join Cree-Métis artist Connie Kulhavy for a hands-on beading workshop at Strathma.
Connie will guide participants step by step as they create their own beaded Orange Shirt pin.
Connie is an Edmonton-based artist whose intricate beadwork is rooted in healing, storytelling and sharing Métis culture. She regularly leads community workshops, and her work is held in collections across Canada and internationally.
Tea will be served during the workshop.

Aviation Speaker Series
Presented alongside Skies over Strathcona County: 100 Years of Flight
Strathma’s Aviation Speaker Series explores the people, places and stories that have shaped aviation locally and across Canada.
Each event includes a 30–40-minute presentation followed by a Q&A. Admission is by donation.
Wind Beneath Their Wings

Drawing from her book, Wind Beneath Their Wings: One Hundred Years of Flight in and around Canada’s Oldest Operating Airport, Kimberly will share stories of the pioneers, bush pilots and aviation adventures connected to Cooking Lake Airport.
